Hon.Colonial Secretary,

The firm Wrangell & Company has no branch here. One of the Norwegian firms here acts as agent for several of the se small Norwegian steamers employed on the coast. I am satisfied that the agent here when chartering the ship knew nothing about any

contemplated voyage for opium.
